The Rostechnadzor permit is now available on many SOR products – including 1500 series level detectors, mechanical pressure detectors, differential pressure detectors and temperature detectors.
The Rostechnadzor (RTN) permit is issued by the Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision and concerns the safety of products used and operated in hazardous locations. It is required for the installation and use of certain types of industrial equipment into Russia and essential for OEMs wishing to sell into the country. RTN is also accepted in CIS (formerly USSR) countries.
SOR has worked to achieve RTN certification to meet customer demand. “A company not in possession of the Permit is effectively barred from the Russian market in Oil & Gas facilities, chemical plants, mines and similar hazardous installations in Russia”, explains SOR Europe Managing Director, Peter Waters.
SOR is a global leader in the design and manufacture of measurement and control devices for oil & gas production, power generation, and the process industries.
