SOR pressure detectors are field-proven, low-cost process instruments for use in either primary or redundant pressure applications in a wide variety of industries. Even though the technology is proven by the original Static “O” Ring mechanical detectors that set industry standards more than 50 years ago, we continue to expand our product offerings to meet changing industry needs. SOR pressure detectors are designed and offered with a number of agency approvals, housing enclosures and detectoring configurations to meet the demands of global markets. The large selection of product components provides the optimal instrument specifications to handle the toughest of applications.
Depending on the installed application, pressure detectors may be required to contain an explosion of a specified gas, vapor or dust which may occur within it. Other requirements may be to isolate the detectoring mechanism from the elements and corrosive environments or atmospheres, or be weathertight for external use. SOR detectors are engineered to exceed the minimums of the required agency approval standards.
Still need more convincing? Take a look at our Weigh Your Instrumentation Options: Detector, Transmitter or Hybrid white paper. Detectors are extremely reliable and cost-effective where the process variable need only be controlled within upper and/or lower bounds due to lower installed costs and much longer service life when compared with a transmitter of similar quality.
